Boy, it's been a shakeup!  Everything's different. The temps are cold, it's raining -- that's right, folks, in the land of hot, dry drought we've been on a respite from the sun and the lake's filling up while businesses are closing on main street and we're looking around going, what's next? Watch out for that flying pig! In mid December we got the notice that our beloved preschool was closing. I always believe everything happens for a reason, so I took the queue and looked forward to spending some quality time with my girl.  Afterall, I just have one more year with her before she's a full-time student of the world. I gotta make sure she knows how to laugh at herself before the lessons start rolling.  That being said, we've only scheduled a few photo sessions in dear old-twenty-ten. Our clients have been wonderful to adjust to our new family first philosophy and we're really having more fun than ever.  Here's a sneak peek at some recent work:

This party was the most fun! The kids learned a dance to perform for the parents and when it was all over, it was time for Princess Minny to enchant the kids with lovely songs of magic and love.  Everyone had a great time and you can see the princess was queen for a day!  Enjoy the pics!

Last September, Faux-Toes hosted a fantastic family dance party at Kids R Kids in Lake Travis. We had the best time with the kids cutting a rug on the dance floor. Our little friend here, A, won the drawing for the free Faux-Toes session and we did their pictures just before Christmas. this precious family is near and dear to my heart. we've been talking about doing a session together for some time now and finally the day arrived last monday.  we laughed, we cried, we shared marshmallows. enjoy the sneak peek, friends!
 

This beauty and I had the best time together Saturday evening. It was another stinkin' gorgeous day in Austin and we shot on location at Lake Hills Church.  There's no real way to avoid God anywhere, but I feel He was especially present with us during the shoot.  The LIGHT was a-mazing, and my gal was even a-mazing'er, and her mother is the a-mazing'est woman on the planet - so loving, so giving, so encouraging, so beautiful -- it's no wonder A shines so brightly.  Enjoy the sneak peek, my friends. A little bit about this sweet family. I met the momma this summer at her studio open house in Round Rock. Nicole is a beautiful friend and an especially thoughtful mother.  I've had a great time working with her on various Faux-Toes design projects and am loving seeing what she's creating for my clients and their holiday card needs.  Nicole is definitely your go-to girl for that!
